When I was a little person around the tender age of 12 I had braces on my teeth. Fun times that I’m sure you can relate too. Were the hardest choice of the day was deciding what color rubberbands you wanted on your teeth. Major holiday coming up? Better go for corresponding colors. After 2 years or so of ortho treatment my teeth were looking good. And then my orthodontist didn’t give me a retainer to wear. And then we moved. Wanna know what happens? Your teeth shift back to their original place. Crap.
If feel like it’s a metaphor of my life. Crooked teeth want to be crooked, they want to shift back to their original place. It takes alot of work to change that and commitment to keep the change.
I didn’t realize that I would have to wear rubberbands pretty much 100% of the time while my Invisaligns are in. The rubberbands and Invisalign are tearing up the inside of my mouth as my face adjusts to the new plastics that will live there for 18 months. I already miss sipping my coffee.
Woke up with a new handle on life and my teeth (I had a good nights rest). I am still not used to the Invisaligners– however they don’t seem as painful as yesterday. It’s 2:30pm and I have had brushed my teeth 4 times already. This might turn out to be a great new diet for me.
